Madman Across the Water: Tribute to Elton John

Madman Across The Water - The Music of Elton John is a new project from Seattle-based artist Andrew Vait (SISTERS, The Little Lies).

The project is built on the energy and momentum of Vait's Fleetwood Mac tribute, The Little Lies, and faithful to the mythos of Elton John.

Vait carefully chose the words to describe the project, emphasizing that the focus is on interpreting and upholding the unrivaled craftsmanship in songwriting and stage performance that threads through Elton John’s legacy.

“Madman Across The Water” honors the music of Elton John and is dedicated to the memory of Vait’s mother who died in September of 2022 after a battle with cancer. Vait recalls listening to Elton John with his mom: “We would listen together and she would sing along while I learned the words.” The music instilled in Vait a deep sense of empathy and softness that has profoundly influenced his career as a performer and recording artist.

Vait describes a dream he had as a child shortly after beginning piano lessons, where he could move his hands across the keyboard and the sounds of Elton John would come gliding out. “It was as simple as flying," Vait muses. In a sense, this project is a dream come true for Vait.

Trent Von is on the short list of legends in Seattle’s nightclub scene. His 35+ year career has included residencies at the largest clubs in the city including The Fenix Underground, Neighbours and DV8. As one of only two Billboard reporting DJs in Washington state, Trent is a master of his craft, with musical knowledge spanning most genres, that combined with his mixing skills, packs the dance floors at every gig. You can also catch him in the mix at Seattle’s Home for Dance (C89.5FM), the longest-running dance music radio station in the country, every week for Save the Wave and NuSkool + Ol’ School.

Very few musicians are said to be extraordinary examples of excellence in any one genre of music. Even fewer can be described as exceptional across multiple genres. Chris Eger fits into the latter category as both a guitarist AND a vocalist, an especially rare gift. The band’s high-energy performances always pleases crowds and are constant signatures of what the cast brings. The band is tight, fun and dishes out plenty of soul! It’s no wonder they constantly attract new fans as well as amaze longtime followers.

Written and recorded in Nashville with Chris’ guitar hero, Eric Heatherly, as producer – The CEB’s latest offering “Show Me Where to Sign” is a breath of fresh air in a prepackaged, fast-food type of music landscape. It features tunes penned by Eric, Chris, Nashville Blues great Stacy Mitchhart, as well as co-founder of Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale, MS Gary Vincent. Notable musicians include world renowned vocalist extraordinaire Bekka Bramlett, Rock & Roll HOF inductee Double Trouble’s Reese Wynans and some of the most prolific studio players in Nashville. This high-energy record blends straight electric blues with blue-eyed soul, Hendrix-inspired classic rock and horn-infused funk. It is a fresh take on vintage guitar music for the 21st century!

A bona fide “quadruple threat,” Eger is a multi-instrumentalist, accomplished songwriter and kick-butt showman, as well as a sensational vocalist for which he has been nominated three years in a row for Best Male Vocalist by the Washington Blues Society. Chris is backed by bassist and father Randall Eger, who has over 35 years of live performance experience. Drummer Mark Clark is a veteran of the Northwest music scene, playing with the likes of the New Deal Rhythm Band and the Chryslers. Clark brings a solid, funky foundation to the group and always delivers. Rick Jiles, keyboardist and leader of the local favorites Midlife Crisis & the Alimony Horns, is a tasteful and scintillating addition to the rhythm section. Finally, Pete Kirkman and Mike West lend their talents as the noteworthy and eponymous Powerhouse Horns.<

DJ Rojito

DJ Rojito is a Seattle-based Latin DJ with a diverse sound. Born in Silver Springs, Maryland, Rojito was thrust into a popping east coast music scene. Rojito was born from an immigrant family (Dominican) and an American family of musical diversity. It was here he was able to hear and develop sounds that others simply could not, allowing him to have a different vibe.

Being the son of a military man also gave Rojito the opportunity to move to different regions and allowed him to develop a diverse palate in music. Coming from the northeast, Rojito was always fascinated with music, so he bought his first console and has been at it ever since.

DJing in locations in NYC, Allentown, Destin and Orlando, he is now performing in the Seattle area, with residency at the Night Owl in Tacoma and the Golden Fleece in Everett. Rojito also rotates at Club SUR and other locations in the Pacific Northwest. His focus is to read the crowd and let people hear a different vibe that they will not hear from any other DJ. El único.

The Tulalip ONE club desk is located near the casino main entrance next to Killer Coffee. If you’re at the main entrance, it is the large oval desk with a ONE club logo spinning in the middle. Ticket sales occur on the far side closer to Journeys East. Ticket sales are open daily 10AM – 10PM.

The Quil Ceda Creek Casino ONE club desk is located to the left when entering the main entrance. Ticket sales are open daily 10AM – 10PM.
